All righty fellas here we go. I ordered a 2025 mega cab that is 2025 model year, Ram 3500 mega cab. As much as I love my Ford, we need to talk about the mega cab. Why would I order a Mega Cab? After all?

This I pulled over got the paperwork out for you guys. I had a on the bottom of this paper. There’S an agreement Financial thing, so I don’t think it’s fair to disclose that with everyone, but I will show you what this vehicle comes with now as David and I’m in my truck here. As I said, I was driving a literally pulled over to make this video. So here we go, I don’t know probably half of it, but what what would I?

What I will share with you guys is what I built and what I know about my build cool. So I’m tell you right now. I don’t know what the horsepower I don’t know what the torque rating for a fact. I don’t even know what the transmission’s in there we have hairay. We have speculations.

I said it months and months ago, ZF transmission, because on their website they have kind of a Ford in the background. But that’s a it’s still speculation. Well, I think they might have said something about the 8 speed, but here we go so 2025 mega cab guys. I have three choices of color, okay and that one was a booger. I had white black and charcoal.

So what do you guys think? I chose charcoal right. Of course they they penalize me for choosing charcoal right $ 295, and then we have the the ultimate uh premium leather seats, guys. I can’t tell you what that really means. All I know is they had a different option: holy smokes man.

I think this is sap. I know they had another option and uh sorry guys. I’M getting phone calls text messages getting distracted here, something with EB or Ed, Bonnie or Onie, a Bonnie Adon. I don’t know it was. It was a cool.

It was a cool thing and the the most relative way or the best way I could can’t even pronounce that word uh. It was a trim color best way. I could relate to it. I just put in uh the name of that color and Chrysler and Googled. It and I saw jeeps and other vehicles with that color.

It’S like dark red, brownish, interior, it’s it’s a upper scale, interior color and I absolutely liked it my wife frowned on that choice, but um as soon as I chose that I couldn’t have my uh uh night night package, for whatever reason, so I had to go To plain black um, that is the best choice. Black is always best. I like this blue what they got going on here: kind of Darker kind of lighter blue. That’S all fandy Dandy, but once you get to this light, color man it it really takes. Uh takes a toll on you because you know I mean this is a working truck and I work this truck.

I need to talk about my wheels man, I’m going to put some stocks on here, I’m tired of it throwing so much crap on the side, but you know I work this thing working gloves a toolbox full of tools. I mean we’re talking, Mechanics Tools, jumpers flags and stuff got me some gloves, um. I don’t know what I’m proving to anyone around here but anyway, so you know very important, getting your hands dirty and trying to clean up. I guess I call this. The cleanup section jumpers extensions for my laptops, hard hats, fire extinguisher corner protectors, all that stuff right.

I even went to Harbor fright and got myself some dkes. I think that’s what they’re called but handy dandy, little tool when you’re out in the field, for whatever reason, someone decided to throw this thing away, really handy tool, crescent, wrenches, right, anyways back to the story, I work my trucks and every day is different. I’M involved in three different companies and every day is a different day. Today I have my boots on. My guys are painting the trailer, so I went out got them supplies.
So that’s what me and David are doing today come Monday. I might be going. You know across town and or excuse me across state and haul on a trailer, so my truck needs to be very versatile as much as I love my 8ft bed um, I could make it happen with a 6ot. My regulars know I had a mega cab, but um 8ft bed is still better because it gives you more options, but we’ll talk about that. Another time I went with the mega cab because of the mega cab.

I could do with the 6 foot. I’D prefer 8ot. I know I know that would be the ultimate setup, but realistically guys even a crew cab with a long bed kind of gets lengthy Average Joe getting in and out of parking lots and it’s definitely noticeable it’s not much wheelbase, but it’s definitely noticeable um when you’re Getting in out of tight spaces, so back to my build, I went with plain black, hopefully have good quality CU. I have to admit for Gen. Leather was better than fifg it sucked, because it’s thicken in the winter it took forever to heat up warm up but overall durability.

I feel like fourth gen seats are going to do a lot better than fifth gen. At least my 021 mega cab kind of start started getting stretched on the seat. I did get fatter so that might be the issue um. I went with the skid plate for some reason I couldn’t get my uh. I think it’s called snow chief package where it gives you the alternator, the auxiliary switches and the skids.

For some reason I couldn’t get. I don’t know why. So I got my auxiliary switches. Got my roof lights! Well, power, Sun, uh, roof lights, block heater got my sport appearance package, guys it’s H!

What in the world I swear, it was like 1900. That makes better sense. I thought no, that’s right! Sorry, guys! I’M confusing myself there here, let’s uh!
Let’S do us a better one and quit confusing everyone here bear with me here Josh. I hope you edit this out. So let’s uh stick to our numbers properly. So sunroof is 1900 well. 20,00 clearance.

Lampers are 95 block heaters 95 limited level. One is 44, so 4,500 for limited one or level one. It was worth it it. It sucks what Ram’s doing there you could get a limited, that’s pretty much a big horn Ford’s doing the same crap and I hate. I hate them for doing that.

So for $ 4,500 you’re getting a true limited and all the options, the only option I didn’t, because I read the whole list. The only option I did not really care for is the distractive driving. I think that’s a step forward in their uh autonomous driving program or whatever they have that’s the only thing I didn’t care for. I don’t care sensors to watch my eyes but um. So there’s the night Edition guys, I’m still young, I think I’m young 33 years old, um there’s there’s a certain thing.

I I really like having in my truck okay and with that package you get black emblems, you get black wheels. I care less for the wheels, but black emblems. This is definitely a thumbs up. What I really love that package for is two things and they’re very expensive. Uh blacked out headlights well tail lights really in this one cuz.

I think the 25 is all going to have blacked out headlights and you get the hood I I I love it. You know for for that amount of money you get a sweet Hood headlights um and the emblems um, that’s literally in the port in the or uh, in the order. How much I’m excited about that package first place is the hood. I think it’s a sweet deal for that amount. You can’t even get another hood and painted for that amount.
Then it’s the headlight tail light being all tinted out and then the emblems and the wheels I care less for them being black. But that’s what you get with it. There’S very limited information at the time of recording this. So that’s why I’m taking a little bit extra time and telling you guys what I figured from this package so night Edition so manufacturing origin. I don’t know what they’re trying to say front license plate bracket.

I don’t know who needs that. Well, I guess we do here in Washington, 5.5 additional gallons of diesel, so I guess they’ll charge one guy, but not another guy, so anys. This is what I have now the the bigger question. What do they come with, and I was happy that my dealership was able to print me off, and this was printed the day of the order, so this was put in December.

4Th today is probably like the 14th, if I’m not mistaken, so let’s not go backwards and go let’s. Let’S do this in order uh, I’m happy to see two things, two things that I’m really happy to see that they gave us back in 25, which I think is bogus that they took them away from us. Well, well that sucks Dave, I’m missing a page somewhere! Well, I think this might be it never mind so in in the in in this vehicle right all skim through them right you, you got all that here have about this, so you can take a picture for yourself screenshot your screen now and you could see all These options here, so this is four standard features just like it says it’s for the mega cab, uh limited mega cab. So these are the standard features.

This is all normal. I’M really happy to see 342 guys, I think, that’s a perfect ratio with how much power these vehicles have. There’S there’s no need to go any steeper. This truck has 355s and it’s just a little bit for the power. I mean that’s 1,200 torque, we’ll talk about that a little later, with 1 12200 torque, it would have been fine 331 to 95 % of what I do um with the experience I have with the vehicle.

Now, if you have a Dy go 355s, if you don’t have a Dy average gel is 99 %, 9 % set with 331. Save yourself a couple bucks. It’S just couple bucks fuel mileage. I know I know it takes it, it’s easier on the transmission, but that’s conversation for another time, so really happy with 341s pathetic 31 gallon fuel tank. I have a 55 gallon from uh from my 21 that I’m going to try to shove in there, and hopefully I can get away adjustable cargo tie downs.
This is all great. You know this is all standard stuff kind of cheesy 400 watt. When something like this, how much does this thing? Have they 120? No, that’s.

120 volt, 20 amp outlet, so that I mean that’s definitely more than 400. So this thing, when you kick in the big boy, I think it’s 2400 um watts versus 400 that the ram has so I really wish they they they kick that up. So all this stuff is kind of standard 600,000 lb front axle. It’S always been like that. You know you got all these shark fins and fancy stuff.

I care less for this active noise control system, active noise, I think there’s a module somewhere and it kind of kills the sound. I know my caddy had it. I don’t know if this, if this Ford has it, but it definitely works, it’s pretty cool how how they’re able to do that kind of Technology automatic headlamps. I hope they adjust left to right up and down as well, meaning they level they. Don’T they only only because my 21 only turned with the steering wheel, whereas this one uh levels it right?

It goes up and down left and right. So hopefully they got that up to speed. Here’S the next page screenshot, do whatever you got to do same thing applies to The Limited automatic transmission. They don’t have any specs there by function, LED projector headlights. So that’s what I was talking about the headlights.

Hopefully, it’s what I think it is uh body color door handles uh body, colored, fender, flares fuel door, blackout tape. I wish I know what that was um, so this is standard features. I hate RAM for this capless system Ram. Let me display show you what it needs to be a and b: don’t over, don’t overthink it don’t reinvent the wheel, please for the love of God, give us a regular fuel neck because guys like me that come into the big rig, they got the fat uh. Nozzles I dump fuel at a decent rate here and I dump fuel at a decent right there and off.
I go you guys with your capless system. It’S fine in the gas powered ones, but please please, please get rid of them in the diesel. I can’t rant enough about that crap there’s times. I have to barely hold a nuzzle nozzle there, because your system is screwing things up and it’s not just me just listen to the consumer. Please get rid of that capless cargo and I think this is the center.

Like the third brake light lamp right, it’s it’s the camera in the center console more or less or this the third light. This is all safety, stuff, Chrome belt, moldings, hopefully they’re black with my uh sport appearance package. So here you go uh damp tailgate Dash liner insulation. So probably like this, you know it’s insulated: it’s not plasticy or just leather, over plastic or somewhat leather um. Nothing really crazy!

In here 730 amp maintenance kind of on the weak side on the batteries it does. The job I know, but when you’re jump start uh tractors, semi- trcks, it’s nice to have better batteries, so electric range select so pretty much one of those instead of a floor shifted one see this is 115 volt that one’s 120, so just just on the low Setting to the Ford they’re already losing so whatever the case might be curtesy light wheel, tohe, step Chrome, I hope they’re blacked out well they’re, actually power running boards with my level, one so guys bear with me. I’M just sharing what I know. I know a lot of you guys are curious. This video isn’t for everybody, um yeah and the next thing that really I’m happy about it’s somewhere in here.

It’S the wood grain steering wheel, insert. I can’t be happier with it um. I I’ve said in one of the previous videos: once you drive long enough with leather, your hands generate. You know naturally oils and I get sticky. So I it’s gotten to a point where I have a microfiber towel here.

You know once every 5 six hours I’ll wipe it down it’s just what it is. So I better speed up and uh. I got an appointment to attend here shortly painted front rear bumpers. I like it. I hate it for the long run because it has a bunch of rock chips, but Chrome, just Chrome’s, a good solid of the of the road like I want Chrome on my work truck.

They look good everything’s good, but this this is like luxury kind of it looks. Buttoned up looks like properly done, so let me Zoom it out, so you guys can take a screenshot all right, where’s, that wood grain insert thing Dave. Do you remember what picture? Oh, look at you last thing on the list well hold on a second, let screenshot it for yourself and this one so wood, leather wrapster. I am happy to have the I’m guessing they’re going to do the same thing.

Put the wood back on top help. Significantly Long Haul truckers know all about them wood and steering wheels. It’S it’s definitely a good thing. Anyways fellas, I’m just happy to share with you guys, um. I got a 25 coming it’s the first year.

I know I know my but my back’s up against the wall with my fleet getting older. I have to do something. I start. I need to start putting new uh vehicles in my fleet, so I’ll check it out for myself. If, if everything looks like crap and it’s going to crap we’re going to have to default to a Ford, yes, the first time ever hearing it, it’s a hot rod, I’m going to have to be very uh straightforward with my drivers and explain to them how to Drive these Fords, but if Ford re, if Ram, really screws this one up, I I’m going to be forced to walk away from Ram so, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed because this video is so long, I’m going to do a followup video while I’m driving to My appointment to tell you what I know about the engine and it’s all speculation.

What I think it’s going to do and it’s all speculation – and why am I so hopeful when r got me in a lot of trouble in 22 and 23, with seven out of the eight Vehicles, grenading engines anyways guys it’s not all sunshine and Roses, but at The same time, it’s not end, the world Ram has helped me build up my hot shot operation and they I’m going shut it down in 2023 and all my senior drivers lost their drucks uh we’re a small, mom and pop operation, but they helped me build it Up so keep my fingers crossed you.
