Okay, so I just got out here to CNS Truck Equipment in Corpus Christi, Texas. This is a huge outfit, and they have some absolutely cool projects going on. We’re going to talk about all this stuff later. Let’s focus on what’s behind this garage bay because this has been a long time coming—a big project, finally ready for the reveal. Hang tight, I’ll be right back.
What’s going on, guys? We are out here at CNS Truck Equipment in Corpus Christi, Texas, where we are revealing my brand new 2021 Ford F450 with its new bumper. This is absolutely freaking awesome! Now, I put a poll on my channel several months ago asking folks what brand of bumper I should go with. I listed all the normal brands everyone had heard of, like Road Armor and Ranch Hand, brands I had worked with in the past, and a few different ones. But there were a few people who said, “Hey J, have you heard of a brand called Flog?” I hadn’t, but a lot of people were thumbing up the comment asking if I had considered Flog.
So, I went to their website, flogindustries.com, to see what was available, and boy, was I blown away by what their product not only looked like but also what it was capable of. That’s ultimately what I decided to go with. Big shout out to the folks over at Flog Industries for supporting this build. Big shout out to them for what they’ve been able to build—the quality, the craftsmanship. When the guys at CNS got it in and unboxed it, the first thing they said was, “Wow, that thing looks beefy,” and it absolutely is.
A huge thank you to my channel sponsor etrailer.com, who has been a phenomenal sponsor of my channel for over 7 years. They outfitted this bumper with some cool stuff like an 18,000 lb Super Winch Tiger Shark. This thing is an absolute beast. I could have gone with Warn or another brand, but I wanted to change it up a little bit, so we put the biggest winch that could fit, complete with a wired and wireless remote.
On the sides, we have Diode Dynamics LED light pods—some really nice ones. The outer lights are more like a pencil beam for fog, and the inner ones are hybrid strobes. The inner ones strobe, while the outer ones function as fog lights that turn on with the OEM headlight fog light function. This is super cool, and I’m so happy with how it turned out.
We were on the fence for days trying to figure out the paint scheme. Ultimately, we went with a multi-coat powder finish—high gloss with Crystal White Tri-coat matching wings off the side. I think the color combination is fantastic.
In front of me, I want to introduce someone very special. Chris is the sales manager over here at CNS. This is the first time I’ve had an opportunity to directly collaborate with you. It’s been a pleasure doing business with you.
**Chris:** “I appreciate that, brother. The work you guys do is amazing. The bumper installation was flawless, and it’s one of the better installations we’ve had here.”
When CNS received this bumper, they hadn’t worked with this brand before. After unboxing it and figuring out the brackets, everything fit together flawlessly. Chris mentioned how seamless the install was, from the bracketry to the bolts, and how the sensor fitment turned out perfectly. The winch, although large, fit snugly with no wasted space.
**Chris:** “The weld quality is spectacular. We’ve seen bumpers that look good, but when you start checking out the welds and the fit, some are subpar. This bumper stands out for its attention to detail, and we couldn’t find any flaws.”
One thing that stood out to me about this bumper is its less “pre-runner” look. Pre-runner bumpers tend to have wings that slope up aggressively for maximum entry and departure angles. This bumper offers a much fuller look, complementing the F450’s lines and width, especially with the fender extensions.
**Chris:** “When we first talked about the color, I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. But once it was installed, the color combination just worked—everything blended perfectly from the black to the white.”
The Super Winch installation was also a success. While CNS typically uses Warn winches, they went with Super Winch for this build due to its power and affordability. At nearly half the price of Warn, it’s a solid option for pulling heavy-duty vehicles out of tough situations.
After the bumper, Chris took us over to show off another cool project: a fully custom slide-out tray with dual monitor setups for firefighters. This feature allows them to monitor everything on the scene while out doing their jobs. It’s another example of the custom work that CNS does for fleet vehicles and personal trucks alike. They also specialize in suspension systems, like the Kelderman system they installed on a previous build, which significantly improved the ride quality of that truck.
For the last seven and a half years, CNS has been my go-to shop. They do phenomenal work, and I trust them fully. They handle everything from fleet vehicles to personal projects, and if you can dream it, they can do it. They have a massive facility with install bays, a large inventory, and a team that excels in both custom and fleet builds.
If you’re looking to get your truck or SUV outfitted, this is the place to go. Huge shout out to the folks at CNS for another successful collaboration. I also want to give a big thank you to Flog Industries for making such an incredible product that fit the exact look I was going for. Let me know what you all think in the comments below!
I’ll drop a link to Flog’s website in the description, as well as links to all the accessories we installed on the bumper. I’ll also include a link to CNS Truck Equipment if you’re looking to get something done to your vehicle.
If you haven’t already, please take a moment to subscribe to the channel, give me a thumbs up, and I’ll talk to you again very soon.
