Well, sadly, I hit a freaking deer. The other night with Mr Sam. We were doing about 70, just smoked it ruined my fog light ruined. My bumper and luckily Jack ordered all that stuff for me and I had to get a new engine harness because some damn squirrels eight, my engine harness.
Oh and oh here we go. This came with the bum. We also had to get a Whipple supercharger with the bumper kit right yeah. It had a box. It said check here for Whipple 3.
L, supercharger, kit, okay, so insurance covered all this. Oh, absolutely, okay, all right cool! So I’ll tell my wife. The bumper was bad. The supercharger was bad.
We had no choice but to get this Whipple piece of deer hair got in there and take out the super exactly so right here we have a gen 3.8 L of American Freedom, Whipple supercharger and, as you know, watch bone. Stop this bad girl made 550 wheel horsepower on 37 in tires right when I got it. 557 557 and she’s been a strong, healthy steeve for uh 15,000 mi well. Well, wh came out with this supercharger kit and since my bumper was bad, we just couldn’t turn down the the swap out we’re going to do the swaero this week.
All you have to do is change out the supercharger which, let’s just open it up, see what we got can’t say that I’ve seen the 3.8 L yet yeah. We don’t have one that big. Yet even the blue F-150 doesn’t have a 38. It’S got the 3.
This box feels heavier. That’S for sure. A big box does look large got an extra Le in there. Almost it looks similar, but it’s got almost a whole another lader, oh yeah, it’s big! Oh, look!
How much taller the lid is. Oh, my go! That is massive! Pull that sucker out goodness gracious, Whipple dude. Why AOW my bumper got messed up?
This is crazy. I know dude. I can’t believe insurance will do that. These days you got to order through the right place, this one’s a team right here. Oh, my L, dude Jesus pick it up.
I’M going pull that out the way Z that is a crush the Box dude, that is a hog holy crap. Let’S look underneath her on jeez L. What in okay, so they’re totally dude just from here to here is huge. Look at that look in there. That’S some action right.
There power, that’s a big gap and there saying my stock motor can survive this uh. The way you drive no got be the biggest Whipple in the shop, isn’t it this the biggest Whipple in the shop on The Daily ever the all right, so I wasn’t going to do this. Whipple told me about this. I said man, it’s my daily. I don’t know if I want to modify it cuz then it’ll ruin my daily and then they sent me pictures of this Dino graph.
You go from 560 horsepower, which is what mine made as well as the one they had on their test. Dyno up to 7 99 horsepower at the wheels with just swapping the blower, no fuel system, no, nothing! You just change out the supercharger and I said well, if you just change out the supercharger, how can I turn that down? I guess this is the test. Can you just swap the blower and pick up 250ish horsepower we’re going to find out Zach?
How long is this going to take you uh everything combined, I mean that should be just what four or 5 hours tops, but everything combined proba couple days. Yeah all right! Look at how small the accessories box is that’s EAS in St, usually the the parts box is as big as the blower box. That box is a third the size. Sometimes truck.
Has everything yeah, sometimes there’s multiple? Oh there’s a lot of stuff, though there’s your coolant lines, instruction box, your stick: instructions stickers to the box with the pulley bud, I’m saying it’s the important box, I’m curious. What all this is couple polies, oh new elbow for the intake, oh wow, the hair is there. She is what is that the tuner handheld tuner tuner? Okay?
What do we got here? Oh they do change the throttle body, Big Dog, Okay, interesting Tomahawk, V2. Well, if that don’t tell you something right, that’s why it picks up 250 Tomahawk, the D Tom and then air filters. There’S your pulley I’ll go! Damn it really ain’t that small, oh big, old blower I mean of blower almost we’ll hit the cabinet.
Let’S got the small, oh, no! No, let’s run got some small. Let’S run this one dude. If this thing makes 800 wheel, we’re absolutely dialed, we don’t need more. This is going to be wild all right guys, I would say we’re about to supercharge the truck, but we’re about to supercharge or swap the truck.
So, let’s get to the time, lapse: oh brother. The Whipple is on fully installed how you feeling Zach pretty good, pretty looks a lot better. Now, dude, oh baby man, it looks stock. It really doesn’t look that crazy in there. No, it’s a lot wider, though, compared to what you you had here.
The little guy thought we’d be calling this a little guy yeah. I I can’t believe that’s a little guy now, but that does look tiny sitting there. Now well, the truck looks way better, fixed up, not missing all my pieces there. Now it’s just a moment of truth. You want to hit the key yeah.
I’Ve been waiting for this all day. All right do it EXA, I’m ready, got our engine cool Reservoir and our supercharger Reservoir whoa little rev up there cold D yourself well sounds basically the same. You can hear a little bit more rotor noise slapping around in there. Oh yeah, what good dude dang dude got. The Whipple on the Raptor are really supercharged.
The daily dude double checking the supercharger Reservoir, making sure that’s full, so you didn’t have to change anything with that Reservoir or the pump or anything. You mark the lines, Inlet and Outlet of the supercharger. You cut cut it there and then put their line to it, and then you cut the other Factory line and just put their Factory line to it. Hey pretty easy, I mean literally cut two L yeah, all right, I’m excited to rev it up a couple times. You want to do the honors.
I think we can rev it up, go rev it up a couple times. I want to hear a little bit of supercharger wine. Oh yeah, oh yeah way better couple more, please how I said this perfect Truck Yeah. It somehow got better somehow got better. Give me two more that’s Rowdy brother!

Ah, we chucked a little Co over over the top of there. No big deal all right. Well, I got a flash of tune on from Whipple. This is still the factory tune. We didn’t have to change injectors map anything, so it still runs on the factory tune, but we do have to uh put their calibration in there just to make sure it runs perfect before we put it on the dyno and go make some Street ribs well guys.
You saw the truck ran, but now we’re flashing in a little bit of a hotter tuneup for this big old supercharger, all right, there’s our old stockies. They don’t have as much offset as the RTR wheels. So that should give us the clearance we need to get on the dino. Here we go she’s strapped down tuneups in it tuneups in it just going to let the truck warm up up for a second and we going to hit it data log it. What gear are we making this pull in?

We are on a 37 inch, tire 37, not light, not light 37 and it just made 756 horsepower. Did you hear that’s insane?

That’S all we needed one and done yeah, because the tune doesn’t change. It gave me the final tune. They already tested it on their Raptor arm. Yeah all right get this thing off. Let’S go for a ride.

Zach! How many hours was just the blower swap just the blower? I think we did in like 7 hours 7 hours, okay, so it’s one day no changes but bolt off old blower, bolt-on new blower, same fuel system, injectors same map sensor even same belt, same belt, same tensioner, same coolant lines, water lines we just added to it. I mean that is foul brother. Let’S get TR not going to be able to tell this guy nothing.
Now I literally just picked up 200 plus horsepower. So quick, that’s insane! Just the blower yeah! You don’t have to do fuel system, nothing else! That’S insane there!
That means this puppy had a lot on the table. Every single, raptor r needs this kit. Let me drive it first yeah here she is. She feels different, all right, all right, jeez, Lise, dude dang. You just picked up 200 horsepower yeah on, like our heat, wve d fuel system.
Do this thing have in it? Do you hear the little blower one it Ain nothing little about it. Yeah louder way, louder way, more powerful. You spit it way more powerful. Oh, my gosh.
She left some black parts. That thing was black tracking for sure. She usually just leave some little skits and I hit it low, RPM wow. It sounds clean and crispy it. It is feels Factory kind of feels like it drives the same.
I Ain going to lie to you like it’s not like. You can feel it’s tuned up and all that you know how you can ruin a truck real, quick, oh yeah, yeah, to make them not drive that great. Let’S do a normal, normal drive to cruise. Like a hell even know, 3 l screw B drives absolutely perfect wow. I didn’t think this truck could get better all right.

I mean I mean the fact that it still drives like stock, but just has 200 more horsepower. It’S not obnoxious! You don’t normally get that you normally get that weird, you know modified car feel some little cool that makes the car less than ideal. It’S perfect right, now je we should probably quit beating the hell out of it. I was like he would literally do this all day, long going to kill this thing.

No, I’m going send Whipple this datal log they’re, probably be like goodness, gracious. We just put the tune in it did one Dino pole and then just went and did 30 PS, and it runs great big thanks to Whipple for working with us, as always on the latest and greatest stuff, and just my daily so much better picked up. 200 horsepower with these on a hot day.
