Couple of them do run and drive, runs, drives, runs and drives runs, drives runs, drives, runs drives, oh not so much until we blend that one with that. One and that one’s going to get blended with that one and that one does run the drive, but let’s go with the 96 12 Val. Let’S just take this Jam in for a second, it’s actually in fairly decent shape. Got this on a trade deal Factory 5-speed manual 9612 valve mainly I got it for the winch be honest with you.

This Fender is in decent shape. The box is actually not bad. Let’S go ahead and pop the hood: we’re going to go snag up the dash short which is down below, and I got a set of seats down in the shop Port. I’D like to fix this thing up enough to be a good driver and sell it. So, let’s see, if hey hey, see if the bad boy still starts, oh, it’s got these goofy stud tops with adapters on it.

So hopefully that does the job. Oh, I forgot. Old girl’s got a uh. It’S got a three-piece exhaust man fold. I forgot about it.

Honestly, I haven’t anything with this truck at all. I got it and I drove it up here: got the old, extendo shifo. This thing is literally not ran. It’S 6 months at least sounds good. Oh yeah!

It’S got the wrong wheel on the steering here too. No parking breake huh like we’re, holding a little bit of moisture back there. I don’t even know if the tailgate works it does. I think that’s a brand new set a bfish brand newish 37s, which apparently they messed up one of the tires on this thing. So where’s it at oh right there in the bottom blew out the side knuckle, but I put it inside here.

Yeah, that’s how Parts rigs end up looking after a while and then I’m going to take that bumper up there and clean it up almost died, it’s crazy! How rear bumpers end up weighing more than the front ones almost died, but I figured I’m not going to use it or give a pressure washer rattle treatment Marketplace. Let’S go not entirely sure how I want to feel about this truck, but just off a brief inventory. It’S got a set of wheel, spacers, going on up front here, didn’t even notice that Amazon units real set of third gen aluminums, not the capped ones, steering stabilizer addition drop down for the sway bar steering box stabilizer.

There’S a couple dollars right there added in homemade unit back there for those track bars Ain too fond of that. But I don’t know man what am I ever going to do with these? I don’t have another set of Steels or set of 17s, just a quick swap might do that. Might not I don’t know, but this set this truck needs. A set of actual good tires do have a setup there, but I don’t want to.

I don’t know we’ll figure out what we’re going to do there in a minute. I do have these 245s, it’s going to look Goofy on a truck. It’S got an actual legitimate, lift kit on it. So the reason why I decided to pull that down right now is because I am in between rounds with uh a little bit of Bondo action on the 96. So that’s where he’s sitting and literally this is the same truck as the one out there like.

There is no difference, except for this one’s Factory automatic, and I will go through Great Links to save this one and fix it up even more Merry Christmas, everyone December 25th evening time right now just knocked out a install of one of my Christmas gifts here in The shop and while I was putting that thing together, I was scheming what I want to do to this truck. I know this one looks okay, just missing a little paint lot of paint couple dents here and there, but the other side smashed in destroyed, not to mention somebody self clearanced, a set of 37s right here with a hammer so destroyed, but the fenders I found from Pick and Pull 80 bucks aside white with a silver drip tip right. There couldn’t pass them up honestly, especially since they’re paint matched hardly ever. Do I find something: that’s the correct color to go on a vehicle. It’S rare straight up rare and while I was down there, a subscriber had hit me up and he said he did a disc brake rear swap on his 95.

Believe that’s what it was and he made me a hell of a deal on the old differential out of his truck. I’M not just going to SW, swap the rear end on the truck, because I got a deal on one. No, that doesn’t make no sense. This one’s actually got a uh, it’s got. A lot of.

You know backlash gear lashes, backlashing, it’s not uh, very tight. It we’ll check it out here in a second, so we’re going to swap out the rear end. But while I was in there installing my Christmas gift, I was thinking man, I’m not digging the truck on 37s. Honestly, if I see one on Marketplace, I’m going to just skip over it, not buy it because it’s on 37s, I know I did buy this ones, but that’s beside the point. All right is a trade deal.

It seemed very practical at the time I got other goodies involved with it, not just the uh Holy Grail, 96 12 valve. So if we’re going to be swapping, the rear end might as well take out the lifter blocks in the rear, put stock ones on it. Take this thing back down to stock hiide, get rid of those track, bars that it’s a freaking 12 valve with a stick shift. It’S got one turbo on, it might be stock, honest, I don’t remember, it doesn’t need track bars, it’s not a race truck and it’s on 37s. I don’t.

While we got that there does run and drive very well. So we’re going to get the shop cleaned up a little bit back this thing onto the lift or forward onto the lift something it’s going to get on the lift, but funny enough. This there’s another 9612 valve 5speed truck right in the way my boys in there getting full paint job preparation, there’s no paint left on it. I need to Prime that so I just wanted to work on this one to get it out of inventory.

Let’S start, let’s get something Merry Christmas to me check this out was just kind of tinking around with it, and I wanted to remember the guy saying that had a different turbo or something on it. So I was up here just investigating some stuff, but I was like. Oh, it’s got a turbo. That makes sense. It’S got a a boost, Adder stopper thing right there and I was like oh there’s why it’s a doggish.

It doesn’t have a boost reference to go to the 12 Val, but I looking over here they do actually have a Boose reference, one hooked up, um yeah that should work, and then I was looking over here like oh that’s, nice and easy. We can see the killer di pin access and I was like man. Why is that all colorful right there? This thing needs a head. Gasket, it’s not mixing with the co.

Went it failed right there. You guys see the one spot that you can really tell yeah. Cuz, you can see the head where the head is right there and then right below it’s all nice and moist, so the head gasket failed right there, man that is such a bummer. I don’t really know what I want to do now. I don’t even know if I want to pull this in the shop right now.

Upstairs could you know more than likely, I mean it’s not mixing the coolant or anything, but I I’ve noticed it. So I’m not going to let it lie. I don’t know what I want to do to pursue that. Well, I’m going to back it up we’re going to assess the rear end, just feel it lash. I bet you somebody, oh I don’t.

I don’t know if the guys that I got the truck from knew this was going on and it’s funny. They still have. My truck that I got that I traded them for sale. They tried to flip it like immediately for way more than I had hit listed for, and I don’t know – maybe they knew about it. Maybe they didn’t know about it, but they had this quick listed for a minute and they threw Parts at me trying to make this deal happen.

So I do have the whole new Dash to put in you hear the rear, end, we’ll check it out, come back up. Just a little bit mean the sucker runs good, just pushing it out the side ofing on a little bit more of a project that I wanted to just sidewind. While I got my 96 in here cuz, that’s it’s really funny. The difference an owner will do to a truck. I have no idea the prior history of that truck before the kid I got it from, but like this truck yeah, this thing’s got this.

Fenders aren’t clapped out, you know, there’s just there’s no signs of a struggle with that truck. This thing here is just oh. I mean I did have to swap out some body panels and stuff, but man, I don’t even know where to start, let’s get a creeper and go underneath. Ah, it’s always nice when they got one of those flexible exhaust things on there yeah.

It’S always neat did learn something I mean I knew these track Bars were oh man, but look here Gap. This thing is so unsafe to drive it’s not even funny. These need to come off. Those need to be tightened down on that. Essentially that plate – I mean it’s swi, but it it could be moving the welds.

I can see gaposis right there, man, it is ridiculous. How unsafe this truck is. After seeing that I’ve only driven it once I drove it up the road when they brought it here. After I did, that was my one one time I drove it was a test drive, so I’m wondering if the rear end is clunking, because of that don’t know, because those look tight want bummer about that hit Gas N..

It doesn’t look that loose. That’S just what the kid said. I bet it’s that or the rear end’s a little low. Let’S check that. Just for video sake, I mean in general it’s still not a terrible truck.

I guess up back look at this, though I don’t even there’s pounds of weld right there and it’s rusting between the Weld and this so that that’s I’m not knocking the guy. That I got it from it just that ain’t working that’s going to come off there, Factory bumper go on and Factory hitch. What is that? Nothing?

Oh okay! I see what’s going on, got that bar up on the top for it to grab. Oh that’s doing something: okay, let’s see how bad this is ratio, but it’s not! It’S got some in it. It’S not!

I bet you a lot of the clunk, probably in this not being uh, that’s not tight! So that’s good! There see if I can clean this up and see what ke here where’s our big piece. Is it? No, they don’t even have the freaking gear ratio, one on there.

Last person that was in here messing with it didn’t put it back. Dang it backlash seems fine. Oh look at the big old Bolt: why do people got to be hacks? I don’t remember that guy from Instagram Tik, Tok or whatever. That does a really nice job mechanicing.

But you watch his stuff enough and you won’t do that. you’ll put those tags back. We can look up there, that’s pretty far up there. Let’S look in the GLW walk see if we can find the data tag, assuming somebody hasn’t swapped it out. I mean it’s got the correct dat 80 in the back.

Oh, that’s, not a wa got to go. Look at the one up there. Gear ratio, 3.5 means three and a half rotations of the yolk one out here. Vice versa, whatever he the happy hitting the crossroads really hard right now with this, I just want to do the TLC work to it swap out the front clip.

Now I got do a head, gasket, that’s a little bit more intrusive and I don’t even know to kill a downin still intact, so but it’s still running driving truck right now. Do I just don’t do nothing with it? Don’T get involved right now or just go ahead hog into it. I just wanted something to do in the meantime to distract me from this every once in a while, they knew that thing had a bum head, gasket there’s no way! Look at it up there wiped it off the side of the valve cover it’s kind of ridiculous, though, all in for what I got into this truck, I could never buy that engine or the transmission there’s no way like if I bought them two individually, there’s no Way – and I got a clean title in my name for the old truck – can’t go wrong with it: just got to make it right, we going to go ahead and uh.

If I didn’t have the 96 in there, I shouldn’t even be working on either of these 2 96s, but my boy just needed the refresh, and I wanted something to get my mind off it CU. I was getting a little bit: butt hurt about the uh. I lost the hood, so I was like I’ll work on something else dang it. I think I’m going to take it for a drive just feel out that rear end freaking flat tire, I’m not going to air that up cuz. It’S got a bum sidewall, but might as well just put these little Doggers back on it.

Take it do everything I said in the beginning of the video man of my word. I said it: let’s do it yeah. Those things are stupid, at least on this truck seats, all busted low rider position. I don’t think, there’s any way. I could actually show feeling what the heck we went – R, not four.

https;//thedpfdeleteshops.comWhen I go forward, I can feel it going. I bet you that differentials. It’S got enough fluid in it. I wouldn’t be worried about up well boys, well, boys, well, boys. That thing is becoming no tire back there.

Oh a crap forgot to do that detail. Let’S disconnect these batteries cuz. My mindset on this right now is not not committed. Definitely looks like that head gasket leaked a little bit more just on the drive up here in the idle time. Hopefully I discovered something in the voice over when we’re talking about.

What’S going on with that rear end pinion bearing whack, something it’s lash, it feels tight when you’re in there with the screwdriver, but you can’t really know until you actually open it up and see what’s going on, but I do think it is a rear end. All the: U joints, carrier variant, seems a little loose but we’ll see see what I saw in those videos want to put them on the big screen and go over it with you guys comment below what you guys’ thoughts are on this truck. Would you save it? Would you use it as a donor? I mean it’s got a good five-speed.

It’S got a good 12 valve honestly. We just got to do a head gasket on it and you know the front main, kill, downin mess and all that. But would you save it or would you just tear it apart part it down, and let you see why I don’t want to just go straight to parting it down because H I’ll go ahead and say it on here we got to get a new puppy. Our German passed away, Boon’s still doing good, but tayl want another dog for the kids. I just talked to my Uncle Mark the guy that helps me do with the paint and stuff he used to do spraying for me, but uh now he just does the mixing.

So it is Wednesday now Christmas. I think it’s Wednesday be honest with you. I don’t know plan on Friday. Let me check yep. It is Wednesday now so tomorrow, I’m going to go over this thing, one more round and we’re going to throw some primer on it.

Friday, so completely sidetracked from what we were doing so I need to get the shop cleaned out. It’S going to start downpouring the next 3 4 days. So I need to get some done yeah, what a whatever the more you know, simply just work through it and fix it. Where that new Dog go funny enough, the head gasket on this 24 valve, we picked up for the VP for that 99. Regular cab truck head gasket blew in the same exact spot, not sure why no Rhyme or Reason this one uh.

Well, I don’t think it was really kicking a lot of horsepower that one definitely ain’t kicking that much out there, but passenger side front decides to let go. Who knows well. Last video, we put this thing back up in a tree line. I was done with it. The tires that came out of it out of the back The Replacements for the 37s that are on it uh I put those on Marketplace.

I had a whole bunch of interest, but I posted it two days before Christmas, so I didn’t really pan out very good but see if somebody comes and snags those I’m going to list these even cheaper they’re, basically brand new Meats, except for the people that installed Them blew out a sidewall on one of them, so I’ll show you notice how we only got three right there yeah, so we’re in the Pix and shovel stage of this kind of a deal. I’M going to go ahead and take I’m. It’S got the nice lug nuts on it I say nice cuz. They got a lock on it, we’re going to take those put those on the crew cab project and we’re not even worried about putting a bunch of lug nuts on this thing actually, and it also has 2in spacers. So we’re going to put those up on Marketplace.

https;//thedpfdeleteshops.comAlso we’re just we’re, I used to be all about just hanging on to any and every little thing, but when it comes down to stuff like that, if somebody else can use it, and it gives me enough money for lunch – good, let’s get it out of here. We don’t need to hang on to that kind of inventory, so we need to. This is one blessing. This thing actually had actually had the adapter, which normally that never goes with a rig when you sell it, for some reason so got this little baby right here. We need that one that’ll work.

I use that kit. All the time found on sale Tractor Supply. It was only 20 bucks, adapters Atlas – I don’t know – maybe it’d be worth it to look online, see if they made something close to this, but that’d be like a it’s got to be a $ 5 $ 600 tier by itself, but we’re going To 245s, which is equivalent to like a 30, maybe get that spacer off there and I’m also not going to be selling the wheels cuz. I didn’t know this, but there’s two different types of these third gen aluminums. These ones are the legit ones.

The other ones. Would have a uh now when we go up there and grab the other truck I’ll, show you, but it’s just like a cap over it, so it might be tougher, it might not be, but there ain’t nothing going to get behind this, that just ched up. So we’re going to take those meats off of those they’re, not even balanced some days, he just say I’d rather work in the rain. It’S not that often that’s a weird mindset when you get into that this thing had rocker lights or whatever wheel. Well things you see it up there look at that Sema that one’s touching the ground she’s got a slight tilt to her now holy crap.

What a drop Yep looks: goofy, not borderline. Terrible, though looks just like it’s got tiny tires on it, and somebody put a leveling kit, which I honestly I don’t even know how much of a lift is on this thing I wouldn’t say the rear has got two, so I would say it’s probably got a Four in the frontz, it’s sitting level, another funny story. Somehow this bucket, I used to have completely full of these stock Dodge lug nuts got like six L.. It’S got this aftermarket block right here.

Normally it’s this little dogger right here. So hopefully I got a set of UB bolts when it comes down to this. It’S got a set of helper springs, but since it’s got that extra lift kit on it, it’s contradicting itself, so those things aren’t centered like they should be. Oh, my gosh. What did I, what did I get myself into what a pile of junk but fix it?

I like that that weld to fit and hits right to the frame, well shaved, 4 in off the width about 9 in off the height honestly. Doesn’T look, half bad, obviously need some caps, but we’ll get to that when we get to that just drop her back down it look like a normal truck again. I am digging that a lot more just got to get rid of this freaking gutter pipe underneath there and we’re good starting to really rain what a bummer about the head gasket. I was actually starting to get excited about. This truck got to go, get some Springs.

I think we’ll leave those aftermarket control arms on there. It’S got to be a 4- in lift, doesn’t feel like six. I don’t know, go check 15 and a quarter somewhere in there. Let’S go check a stock truck honestly. I know I go grandpa style on my rigs, but it just works.

You know they got it right from the factory. Arguably 245s are a little bit small, but that’s what I got in inventory. A couple sets of those babies. So that’s what we’re going to run. You can definitely tell it’s got a little wheelie going.

We go stock was going to go check a Gasser little ranch truck that dawned on me that it would be different because well, this one’s got a big old, heavy mofo sitting on it. Who this thing is sitting? What I say 15 and 1/4 on that last one honestly, it doesn’t have much that’s 12 in there that thing’s only got a three lift kit, whatever that’s about. Hardly anything a really worth talking about tiny little sucker and then the back this one’s actually a camper special.

So it’s got the right stuff, see the block, and then it’s got tiny. You bolt straps! This thing’s got a 70 though, instead of an 80 cuz, it’s a factory, Auto Truck, not anymore. I got those tires off that kind of sucked going to work on a little bit of TIG for distraction right now, cuz. I think I blew out my left bicep trying to get those big meats off there D got a tire machine it’s over there, but those things are just heavy anyway.

You guys were complaining at me that I didn’t have this thing set at DC. It was on AC when I was doing TIG welding well, it’s kind of funny how you get that set up, there’s not like an ACDC switch, so you got to turn frequency down to zero and that puts it to DC. So obviously I would have known that, let’s see how I do now, you guys make me laugh. I appreciate it, it’s funny how just that TIG sound. I have never TIG wed anything before in my life.

You guys saw the first couple welds in that video sounds a little bit different when you uh mess with the settings just a to so check it out. Here we got a big old Gap, Po syst and probably a little high on the heat, but we’ll try. It that’s a little bit different of a sound. Now I got to get the torch out, because this dang thing is uh steps me Dam, it think been sitting in my old mans for, like 10 years figured I might as well save it and give it away details. How many of you guys could tell that?

I didn’t have the gas on. It was welding like a son of, but I didn’t hear the post gas, so that was weird just covered it. Now. It really play with, music yeah, I’m all over the place tonight did some TIG welding, some Tire swapping Tire deleting so these rims are pretty good shape. I’Ll show you the difference here in a second between the nicer ones and the crap is alcoas.

This one does have a little injury right there. I don’t know if that correlated to that bum sidewall, but I had the set of bfgs laying around they got. I mean if I was looking for tires, I would pay 500 bucks for this set, so I’m going to put it up Marketplace just as is uh with tires wheel combo, I you know whatever well folks. I am just all over the place when it comes to. What’S going on, like l, so this video is all over the place to say the least, but there’s the donor, cab and everything for the 96, and that was actually a whole chassi one under my 66 Dodge that green bed on top that one’s actually in really Good shape, but I want to go on put that box on my 98 cuz.

It needs a new one factory 96 bed down there that got smoked. So I need to replace that that one I got pretty good deal couple years ago, never ended up using it. It’S got some Bondo on it and then the one on top is for the came from that truck over there. It’S it’s decent, they’re, all good usable boxes just got a couple dents, but the green one up. There is really nice, but I just want to update you on what we got going on because there’s the 99 we picked up and there’s the truck those featured in this video.

So, let’s run over the shop, real, quick and not fall on my scooter, because I’ll show you how that truck’s doing this has a little teaser update even know. You guys saw that it’s all painted come on motion light turn on there. We go all right security. So I’m just trying to take advantage of you know moments and time when I’m not busy with other stuff and when the rain hits well a lot of the other stuff shuts down. But when the rain goes away, I got to go out sit in the mobile office.

https;//thedpfdeleteshops.comYou know tractors, but the 96 look. How he’s doing this is just a little update. I got the full everything putting together video coming some sometime soon, but we got four gen mirrors. We got some steps on the side. The grill is supposed to be here tomorrow and then I got a new attachment for cleaning up the piping with the you know, fan paper for the bumper, but here’s what I’m scheming right now I haven’t got confirmation, but I do know of one Factory second gen Bed that I used to own – and I gave it to my buddy cuz – I didn’t – have anywhere to store it back in the day.

This is going to shake things up cuz. I don’t know when I get to up north to get to my buddy so that I can get the other bed from him and paint it, but my buddy in town, his 97, has uh factory boxes in perfect shape used to be anyway. I gave it to him, I’m going to see if I can buy it back and paint it, because I only got like 10 days and I’m not going to be in town for a while and I’d like to have this thing button back up before I leave. So saying all that it sounds ridiculous that I started working on that other truck, and this is all going to bring bring everything back around. I’M always just trying to stay busy, and I don’t want to stay on one project for too long because I get burned out on it, even though the other truck is literally the same exact.

But it’s just that change of pace that just livens things up. Just a little bit and keeps your momentum and everything just a little bit better, so we got the 96 rocking now I know I was going to work on the charger which I never I shouldn’t have stopped working on it, but we ended up building the 66 Crew cab and a couple other sweet trucks in the meantime, but then we got the 99 out there, the Nether 996 out there. I brought down another 99 the other day, but I showed you guys this for a second. This is a donor engine that we got. It’S got a good VP on it to go in that 99.

That’S busted out there that Austin bought you guys keeping up with me cuz. I barely am, and it is Sunday night. We are headed to work tomorrow, but look at the 96. I think that old boy turned out pretty dang slick. I did take care of the big dents and issues that it was going to.

You know show, but there’s always going to be a bunch of little teeny things that a 30-year-old truck is going to just show. Every once in a while so trying to chase all that for something I actually want to go out and drive, it’s not practical, but anyway, I am going to finish this boy and then we’ll get around to those other rigs. But I just want to give you guys a brief update, because I didn’t have any conclusion on how this segment was going and the video that you’re going to see after this before we get to this one was filmed amidst all that, and it was the day Before we primed the 96, I found a 98 cumins at a junkyard. Somebody turned it was a good run and driving truck they they sent to the junkyard. Junkyard was smart enough to set it aside and trying to flip it, but I’m going to post that video next look forward to that and if you’re looking forward to it, comment below looking forward to that junkyard truck how bad could it be?
