Fellas I want to do a controversial video here. Uh, it’s long time coming. I’Ve been wanting to do this thing for a minute. So here we go don’t mind. My guys are working they’re going to have a little bit of hammer swinging nuga duas.
So it’s part of the deal I have half an hour to kill and I’ve been wanting to do this video for a while. So here we go lucky us, we got the vi. We got the time for the video there’s certain things Ford’s better at and there’s certain things that ramp’s just better at. I would start with the interior here um and then work my way outside. So somehow Ford’s entrance and exits easier in in the trucks.
I’M not quite sure what all is in there, but it is um. It’S just Le less of that wall. There right your foot, your foot comes through it, a lot less to catch on and and it’s I noticed that with my 23 – maybe because I didn’t drive other Fords long enough to notice that, but my 23. I definitely noticed it now as far as fit and finish guys. I got to give it to the ram.
Fords is fine nothing’s falling apart, but they’re they’re they’re a good they’re good business right. They they do just enough to get by right. If you want a nitpick, I mean look at that. They couldn’t even cut the plastic off smoothly. You got to see what I’m talking about that lip there I mean this is a $ 104,000 truck like guys, come on ain’t, nobody giving a rip about nothing.
You still buying they still making them once we start buying them. That’S when they’ll stop making them um, but Ford’s smart Ford is more practical. I absolutely hated the previous interior. I don’t know why it bothered me this interior, it flipped the page on that this interior. So functional and practical you kind of overlooked everything.
You know everything flows so well as far as functionality goes right same same thing right, I use this pocket more in this truck than I do in the ram the the you know. The the pockets are better designed to grab stuff out of them. You know they have the 45 on the on the back side. Here, it’s just fit and finish Ram. Has them functionality it just it’s so practical.
You know what I mean even the stupid thing. Right honestly, I thought it was a gimmick. I honestly thought that whole slider thing was a gimmick. Do you ever see this thing not slit out? Rarely cuz, I use it all the freaking time and it’s it’s it’s stuff like this, that that they shine and they underline how much more practical Ford is than Ram um.
It’S not Leaps and Bounds, but when you’re talking you know fit and finish, Ram is a solid 30 % better. Let’S use percentage, you guys could kind of gauge it better functionality, practic ality same thing: 20, 30 % better on the Ford. It’S a solid lead right. Uh as far as wireless charging um, that’s a that’s a downer that thing just doesn’t stay there. It’S a joke on the interior Ram come on.
Look at that. I got me some snack um on the interior on the on the interior. As far as the interior, the charger Ram has a better kind of wedges in there and the ram stays uh even stuff like this right. When I was buying this thing, I just didn’t think twice about it right, you could. You could shove something in there and it’s and it works like I’m, my phone’s in here all the time right.
It just works um, just some something as simple as that it works, and it has the the opening in there. So you can uh wire wiring or you know pipe your wiring through you guys know what I’m saying it’s been a long day out here. As far as steering wheel, I don’t know why it’s the size I wish the size was a little smaller Ram. Has a smaller steering wheel and I and I like that, I, like the Ram steering wheel more the the the feel of it. I think it’s because I had wood up here and that the whole wood thing unless you’re a trucker.
You won’t understand five six hours into the drive. You’Ll definitely appreciate the wood up here it wasn’t a it wasn’t a an appeal to the to the look, or should I say it was. It was an aesthetic Appeal on The Limited Ram to me and then, when I started driving The Limited Ford, I definitely noticed the your hand, sweat your human being you, you generate uh oils and that’s what starts to get sticky there. As far as the bottom side, I got no complaints um, but I kind of wish it was a little smaller just it took a while to get used to it, and I still feel that it’s bigger um, I, like the pocket here Ram – has that too uh. As far as the button goes, I like that RAM used the buttons on the back it just takes away two buttons from here.
Puts them in the back, gives you more opportunity, but end of the day, how’s this? This is very practical. This is very usable in it as far as functionality goes is better the horn and the Ford’s better, it’s more sensitive. It’S you could do a little one. You could be a big one right.
You go Rams. Just you get what you get on off. You know you don’t get the whole little deal just if you get it gives you the full so um. This is a little bit better fine tuned, I’m not a Ford guy, but I do drive a Ford. I also have a Ford Shelby GT350 for all.
That’S of purposes which I needed to give him a call about today should do a video about that transmission’s, getting swapped out on that thing, uh, but yeah not much of a Ford guy, but this my second brand new Ford and I very much enjoy it. Um now, as far as uh placement right uh, I say it’s so practical as far as like coming in coming out getting in and out of it, it’s very practical, you know can’t complain about the handle, everything is natural and it feels good as far as buttons. You know I I like it, it’s very convenient it’s just. The Ford has the lead and practicality it just it just flows, better right, the buttons and all the um hit and miss. Here I like the mechanical buttons I just feel like they could have done better.
Better quality right they have this kind of aluminum thing going. This is kind of I think it’s from the previous generation, no complaints, it’s functional, it’s good, but even if it had aluminum uh looking metal kind of buttons, I still don’t think it would pull up to the ram, but it’ll definitely give it a more premium. Look after all, this is a million dooll. I call them my Bentley because of the seats you know Diamond Stitch truck after all, um. I like the fact that they have a glove box here, glove box there.
Whoever designed this interior did a phenomenal job as far as practicality, I just wish the they they step. They would step it up a little bit in the lmited. You know a little bit different Metals Plastics, uh fit and finish isn’t horrible. It’S just not fine- tuned. You know the material you material is used, it’s kind of like a downer, you know pretty cheapy.
Looking thing it works, I’m pretty sure it work. Just fine. You know the Le that’s a lot of plastic. They could have kept this. You know wrapped it in leather.
This is leather, and this is plastic, so you you you give and you take. I like these uh Pilots switches is what I call them. You know it’s all functional. It’S all practical, no complaints here I can’t ask for anything more. That’S just fine!
So I I stated what I liked you know. I said that it’s one’s practical, one’s, better, F and finish – and I explained to you why uh I just wish we could get rid of this junk this kind of crap. I don’t want this in my truck I’ll. Never use it, it’s a pile of junk, it’s more uh modules that this truck does not need. I wish we could uh get rid of this like we could get rid of the panel roof if I’m not mistaken, a little stuff like that, it’s not a deal.
Breaker, it doesn’t bug me, you know this looks very cheapy. Just you know give me something like that, or maybe a metal button just just a little bit just give it a little bit more oomph. Looking um leather wrapped is definitely nice, but these aren’t Ram is sound system same thing. It has the potential I mean it has the good foundation, but it’s just not fine tune. Something keeps rattling up here.
So you take it. You get what you get, you don’t throw a fit. Yes, it’s uh good material. As far as the Alcantara looking thing, um a lot of noise. This thing releases you know, lets in a lot of noise.
I’M not complaining guys I’ll spill. The beans. I already have a mega cab on order. This truck is phenomenal, it’s great. If it wasn’t for business, I wouldn’t have this truck, but also, if it wasn’t for business, I wouldn’t let go of this truck.
I like this truck this much. Yes, I’m a ram guy, but all around this truck is a better truck because it comes from one manufacturer. It comes from Ford and everything flows better. Despite all the plasticky and half assery excuse my language, but just just just how it is. You know that the halfway done stuff – it’s just they don’t they don’t leave you hanging, but they sure don’t give you the the topping on top.
You know what I mean: they don’t give you the whipping cream. They they don’t put the cherry on top in a lot of cases. Whoever designed these seats, it’s not Ford, they paid somebody, this Ford isn’t so generous; they definitely bought it and uh worked with it, whoever whoever engineered these seats. God bless your soul and I hope you continue doing it. You know on a scale one to 10, the the dash and everything is a solid 67 as far as overall fit finish quality and all that the these seats I haven’t seen better.
So I have to give it a 10 out of 10. I love these seats. You know, especially in 2025 um you’re, not going to have a limited they’re they’re they’re, just trying to squeeze everything out of the consumer as far as money goes, um, yeah. That’S another reason: I’m honestly bummed out, because I’m going to have this truck for a couple more months, maybe three more months and then I have a feeling because my mega cab already has a VIN assigned to it. Anyways guys, that’s that I’m going to go ahead and show you the exterior.
Once again, my guys are working in the sh there’s going to be a lot of noise. We are rotating the tires on this thing. So, to make a long story short, you got the calipers in here right, you got these Real Deal hubs and then only to get uh faked out on the on the other side, I do like the fact um that at least they gave you this side to Disengage, I think Chevy doesn’t do it Ford kind of does it electronically in there um. I like stuff like this. You know this is a fairly new truck and anytime.
I can poke my head in here and kind of look around what I can improve, possibly modify. I’M always down for it. You know Curious George, you know what I mean, that’s how that’s just how that goes. Anyways fellas, I had one of my drivers come up to me and have a few questions for me. So, as far as protection goes this, this is what I’m talking about right.
They won’t protect the side, but you know you’re skid. You got it in check, so in all reality, slim chances that you’re going to hurt anything, but they don’t give you the whole. They don’t give you the whole cake, so that’s that um, this truck’s all Factory besides those overload well they’re, not overload Springs. These are overload, Springs the airbags, you know they they are there. They do the they do perform their function.
This is not aftermarket. That’S how I bought the vehicle and that’s how I had it. I know this is all technology and the whole lever thing, but kind of worries me that something come in here and bust it off there. You have it right. This thing has 25,000 mil on it.
I very much like it as much as as much as negative things I could pick on something, but that’s how life is you want to look for negative? You always find it. You want to look for positive, you always will. This is a very functional truck. Quite frankly, I’m afraid this might be the last of its kind.
I think everything after this probably going to go hybrid here in the next year or two um. I like it um. I hope I’m sad to Let It Go, but I hope I don’t regret it. I really hope I don’t regret letting this one go because an all around package for I started talking about that because of business I wouldn’t have it, but also because of business. I have to let it go uh, allaround package, it’s it’s really hard to be.
I don’t believe GM has anything on this thing. Besides the front end. Look this front end look is okay, I could live with it as they say, only a kid’s mother could love them with a face like that, but I’ve grown to like it um. I don’t love it it. It definitely doesn’t rub me the wrong way anymore.
I don’t frown if I call it that so under the hood, you got quite the best, quite The Rat’s Nest, with all these hoses and plastic hoses and uh Cheapo stuff like this. It’S like dude, if you’re going to run it at least finish it off right, finish off with uh some kind of uh wiring Shield of some sort. I mean if you want to do the the wire or the electrical tape finish it off the electrical tape. It’S just dumb stuff like that that really make make you cringe. If you look at that right, that’s already melting, it’s melting!
What the heat shield! It’S like all right! If you’re going to do something, do it right, it’s stuff like that that costs forward their reputation as for as quality goes right, so they know this corner rubs here, so they they put the sleeve on right. You know maybe 150,000 you’re going to be going through. All these plasticky stuff, so you can’t have it all in life.
You can’t have a perfect thing, but what you can do is use your brain and uh and apply it in here, and I think if you were to give one a few hours, they would make this uh bay a lot more reliable from a simple thing. Like okay, rubber hoses heck with it right, I don’t know if you guys noticed how stuck it was on there melted on yeah, it’s melting um, just you know, get get rid of the plastic fittings. Get rid of all this uh, just kind of touch. Everything see how it is do something about this connection. Um, if you can’t improve it, just change it once every 100,000, that’s crazy!
This is a lot cooler than this has so this goes in the EGR and flows somehow, and then this that’s the interc system. H. That’S cool anyway, there’s a lot. I don’t know about this truck, but I absolutely love about it. Um we do work on other customers rigs, but I solely operate my fleet with ram 3500s if you’re need the channel.
So this is what 25,000 Mi looks like under the hood. Oh wish, I could tell you something crazy, but I can’t I’ve had good luck with it. I have a good feeling about it and, as I said, I would keep this truck if it was personally me. Uh, I have to buy a brand new test. It expand upon it and uh.
You know, educate myself, so I could lead the company the right way. As far as what we’re going with, I really have my fingers crossed that Ram gut um marbles in a row on this next generation of truck, and hopefully the 25s are going to be solid cuz. The 22s definitely did me dirty um. As far as the back side goes, the the entry point of the cabs, what makes it so much better this crap this I find, holds a lot of junk in here, as you could tell got my extensions for my laptop hard hat um, even some carbonated water. For you trying out this stuff, so anyways guys, hopefully this video helps you guys um.
When someone tells you you know one’s better than the other. There are my reasons: um Ford definitely did a lot better on this truck than they did on the previous generations. Everyone’S saying, you know the 19 22. Well, it’s not 19, it’s 2020 through 22s um. They look the best front ends but uh.
I I’ll give up that front end over everything else, guys the 23s and up are far superior. Oh, the Transmissions are too a lot better on this 24 versus the 23 uh. Besides that the engine’s just as strong just as good, I have no complaints anyway shape or form. Hopefully, that makes sense to you um, I’m going to do a video after this one. Why I ordered a mega cab getting into nitty-gritty um General sense because of my business, because how I I provide for my family through running these pickups um yeah anyways fellas.
